Power Breakfast Smoothie
I like a filling breakfast, but this isn’t the best start to the day if you are training hard, as you will feel sluggish and heavy as your body tries to digest a high amount of fiber and fat. Alan Murchison has a great morning smoothie recipe that can get your day and training started. The base for this recipe is soy milk, some find this easier to digest than cow’s milk, along with some maple syrup for that instant sugar hit along with oats and banana that will fuel you over a longer period of time. Banana & Maple Breakfast Smoothie, Serves 2 4 Medium Bananas2 Cups soya milk or milk (your choice)2 table spoons of maple syrup or honey (your choice)3/4 of a cup to 1 Cup of rolled oats
- Cut the banana into chunks and put it into a blender
- Throw in all the other ingredients into the blender and blitz until smooth
- Poor into a tall glass and drink it down!!!
The smoothie has to be consumed straight away because if left in the fridge it has a tendency to set, ending up in a very bad consistency,
